EPISODE #5: First Encounters

Storytellers: Bessie Cherry, Peter Greenwood, Andrew Greenwood, and Sam White. Our fifth Storycast is a record of our very first Storyshare Saturday Night in Madison at the Project Lodge. Billed as the “Cancer Stories...Benefit,” WSP was blessed with lots of great music from our friends Sound of Survival, and fantastic stories.  We’ve picked the most Storycast-friendly stories of the night and smashed them all up into this Storycast for your listening pleasure. This Storycast also marks our first non-cancer episode, though one of our storytellers shares one of the more interesting side effects of his cancer experience. We hope to see you at our next Storyshare Saturday Night (hint: it’ll be on February 27th at the Project Lodge on East Johnson and the theme will be Lost & Found).

EPISODE #6: Waiting

Storyteller: Peter Greenwood. The inspiration for the Spring Green, Wisconsin charity 4 Pete’s Sake, Peter shares the story of his complicated relationship with his illness and what it has taught him about the meaning of identity, love, about his sense of community, and life itself. Peter’s Storycast also features four of his original songs — you can find more of Peter’s music at myspace.com/sabertoothman

EPISODE #7: Fertile Ground

Storyteller: Sally Franson. Sally is in remission from Hodgkin's lymphoma and is currently working on a memoir about her twenty-something cancer experience. She will begin her studies at the University of Minnesota's MFA in Creative Writing program in the fall. To read more of her stories, visit her blog at http://sallyfranson.wordpress.com

EPISODE #8: Story(shorts)

Storyteller: Josh Moss. Every once in a while we throw in a short storycast like this one — and, since we’re partial to the word “story” (you know, STORYcast, STORYshare, STORYbooth), and we are fans of parentheticals too, we’re just going to call them Story(shorts). Here’s our first one. It was recorded live at our Storyshare (May) at The Project Lodge in Madison. The theme of the night was “In Sickness & In Health.”
